WEYMOUTH, DORSET
Weymouth has always been a favourite with Drury Holidays. Its elegant Georgian seafront is an impressive backdrop to the long arc of fine, golden sand. The views from the bay are spectacular. We stay at the Hotel Rex once again and include visits to Compton Acres, Poole and Swanage. We also have a free day in Weymouth.
MONDAY DAY 1
After our door to door service in the morning we travel to Weymouth and arrive late afternoon at the Hotel Rex.
TUESDAY DAY 2
Today we head to Compton Acres. Constructed in 1920 by Mr Thomas Simpson, today, Compton Acres gardens are still acknowledged as one of the finest privately owned gardens in England. Enjoy over 10 acres of horticultural heaven, relax in the charming Café & Tea Rooms, browse the treasures in the Gifted Moment store or delve into the exciting world of plants within the Plant Centre. Later we enjoy a stop in Poole.
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 3
After a leisurely breakfast this morning we travel to Swanage for free time. The town has kept much of its original Victorian charm with a magnificent heritage pier, steam railway and clifftop castle. Sometimes known as 'Little London By The Sea', you'll notice architecturally impressive buildings within the town, some of which originate from England's capital city.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
Enjoy a free day in Weymouth. Take a stroll around the historic harbour, visit Nothe Fort and Gardens or just relax by the sea.
B, DFRIDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we depart Weymouth heading home to meet our door to door service by late afternoon. A stop will be made to purchase lunch.

Hotel Rex, Weymouth ***
We return to the 3-star Hotel Rex which is situated on the Esplanade overlooking the stunning golden sands of Weymouth Beach and the Jurassic Coastline beyond. The 17th Century Harbour, with its busy fishing fleet, is always a hive of activity and just a few yards away. Hotel facilities include a residents’ lounge, fully licensed bar, wireless internet access and a passenger lift that serves all floors. Please note there are several steps up to the hotel and on some room levels.
