WEYMOUTH, DORSET
Weymouth has always been a firm favourite with Drury Holidays. Its elegant Georgian seafront is an impressive backdrop to the long arc of fine, golden sand. The views from the bay are spectacular, stretching across the horizon, taking in the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. We stay at the Hotel Rex once again and include visits to Athelhampton House & Gardens, Blandford Forum and Bournemouth. We also have a free day in Weymouth.
MONDAY DAY 1
After our morning door to door service we make our way to Lyndhurst, the capital of the New Forest. After the opportunity to purchase lunch in this pretty village, we continue our drive to Weymouth arriving late afternoon.
TUESDAY DAY 2
After breakfast we head to Blandford Forum for free time. Located on the banks of the River Stour, Blandford Forum is the most complete, small Georgian town in England. We then include entrance to Athelhampton House & Gardens. Athelhampton is one of England's finest Tudor Manor Houses. The Great Hall, the heart of the House, was built in 1485, when it would have served as the entire accommodation.
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 3
Today we enjoy an excursion along the coast to Bournemouth which is the largest resort in Dorset and is known for its 7 miles of beaches, and Victorian architecture. The resort is home to a pier, and gardens that feature rock gardens, an aviary and plant species from 3 continents. The town also boasts a vast array of shops and restaurants.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
Enjoy a free day in Weymouth. Take a stroll around the historic harbour, visit Nothe Fort and Gardens or just relax by the sea.
B, DFRIDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we depart the Hotel Rex and head for home to meet our door to door service by late afternoon. A suitable stop will be made to purchase lunch.

We return to the 3-star Hotel Rex which is situated on the Esplanade overlooking the stunning golden sands of Weymouth Beach and the Jurassic Coastline beyond. The 17th Century Harbour, with its busy fishing fleet, is always a hive of activity and just a few yards away. Hotel facilities include a residents’ lounge, fully licensed bar, wireless internet access and a passenger lift that serves all floors. Please note there are several steps up to the hotel and on some room levels.
