Weymouth
Weymouth has always been a favourite with Drury Holidays, this will be our second tour there for 2026. Its elegant Georgian seafront is an impressive backdrop to the long arc of fine, golden sand. The views from the bay are spectacular. We stay at the Hotel Rex once again and include a tour and tasting at The Purbeck Cider Company, and excursions to Wareham and Sherborne. We also have a free day in Weymouth.
MONDAY DAY 1
After our door to door service in the morning we travel to Weymouth and arrive late afternoon at the Hotel Rex.
TUESDAY DAY 2
Today we head to The Purbeck Cider Company. From humble beginnings, Purbeck Cider was started by Joe Hartle in an effort to diversify his family farm and keep farming. Nestled in the heart of the Purbeck hills in Dorset, they make premium ciders using 100% single pressed Dorset apples. We enjoy a tour and tasting, with a slice of apple cake. Later we head to Wareham for free time.
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 3
After a leisurely breakfast this morning we travel to Sherborne for our morning visit. Sherborne is without doubt one of the most beautiful towns in England. The charming, honey-coloured town is brimming with history and heritage and you're sure to be impressed by the array of beautiful buildings, including a magnificent Abbey, that make Sherborne so special. After time to purchase lunch we head back to Weymouth.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
Enjoy a free day in Weymouth. Take a stroll around the historic harbour, visit Nothe Fort and Gardens or just relax by the sea.
B, DFRIDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we depart Weymouth heading home to meet our door to door service by late afternoon. A stop will be made to purchase lunch.

HOTEL REX ***
We return to the 3-star Hotel Rex which is situated on the Esplanade overlooking the stunning Weymouth beach and Jurassic Coastline beyond. The 17th century harbour, with its busy fishing fleet, is always a hive of activity and just a few yards away. Hotel facilities include a residents' lounge, fully licensed bar, wireless internet access and a passenger lift that serves all floors. Please note there are several steps up to the hotel and on some room levels.
