Chester, Port Sunlight, RHS Bridgewater
Join us as we return to the Queen at Chester Hotel. Included in this tour is a first for Drury Holidays, a day at RHS Garden Bridgewater, with June being an ideal time to visit. We also enjoy a guided tour of Port Sunlight Village, a sightseeing boat cruise on the River Dee, afternoon tea at the hotel plus free time in Chester.
MONDAY DAY 1
We join the tour coach after our door to door service and make our way to Chester and the Queens Hotel. A suitable stop will be made with the opportunity to purchase lunch.
DTUESDAY DAY 2
Today we head to RHS Garden Bridgewater. The former site of Worsley New Hall, in Salford, is a heritage landscape that's been transformed into an iconic RHS Garden. Landscape architect, Tom Stuart-Smith created the masterplan and the Bridgewater team, alongside award-winning garden designers, have brought 'gardens within a garden' to life by blending history with world-class horticulture.
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 3
After a leisurely breakfast this morning we enjoy free time in Chester. This historic city offers lots to see and do. Explore the unique 'Rows' of two-tiered shops or take a stroll around the City Walls. Meander down to the River Dee and maybe purchase lunch in a riverside pub. Later, we enjoy a sightseeing boat cruise with commentary about the local area and its history.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
This morning we make our way to Port Sunlight where we enjoy a guided tour of Port Sunlight Village. Built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight soap this is a superb example of how life used to be. We return to the hotel in the afternoon for a Cream Tea - including tea/coffee, scones, clotted cream, butter and jam.
FRIDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we journey home, meeting our door to door service in the afternoon.

THE QUEEN HOTEL CHESTER ****
The Queen at Chester Hotel is just a short distance from Chester centre and is an ideal location for this break. Marvel at the vaulted ceilings, spectacular staircases and regal public areas of this stately building. All rooms are ensuite and have flat screen TV and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
