CARDIFF, WALES
This tour covers Cardiff and the surrounding area of Southern Wales. We recently used the 4 star Parkway Hotel on one of our popular mystery breaks which proved to be a great success. On our latest tour we include a ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway, entrance to St Fagans Living Museum, tour and tasting at a cheese factory and a guided coach tour of Cardiff.
THURSDAY DAY 1
After our morning door to door service we travel west arriving at the Parkway Hotel after a break to purchase lunch.
DFRIDAY DAY 2
After breakfast we travel to Blaenafon with free time to explore the town and World Heritage Centre, followed by a visit to the Blaenafon Cheddar Company. Here we learn about the process involved with the manufacture of cheese and enjoy cheese tasting. Later we travel to St Fagans open-air museum, where over 50 historic buildings from all over Wales have been rebuilt, including a medieval church, a Victorian school and a Workmen's Institute. The museum stands in the grounds of St Fagans Castle and Gardens.
B, DSATURDAY DAY 3
Today we travel the short distance to Cardiff, here we pick up our guide and enjoy a coach tour of the city. Afterwards you will have free time to visit the many attractions and purchase lunch.
B, DSUNDAY DAY 4
After breakfast we head to the Brecon Hills and join the Brecon Mountain Railway for a journey aboard one of the steam locomotives. Travel along the historic route of the original Brecon & Merthyr Railway. We then travel to Brecon town where you have the chance to purchase lunch, before enjoying a circular tour along the heads of the valleys where time permitting we will make a stop at Abergavenny.
B, DMONDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we depart the hotel and begin the journey home, to meet our door to door service during the afternoon.

THE PARKWAY HOTEL & SPA ****
The Parkway Hotel is surrounded by parkland, about 17 miles from Cardiff. All bedrooms include a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is no lift but there are ground floor bedrooms. The restaurant offers a seasonal menu and there is a spacious open plan bar and lounge and an outside terrace.
