Audley End House & Gardens and Saffron Walden
The impressive house that can be seen today is part of the vast mansion created in about 1605–14. The gardens and landscape, shaped by various owners to complement the house, reflect many changes in English garden fashion. Saffron Walden is a delightful medieval market town. Beyond the Market Place there are many independent shops and eating places to choose from. Many small business premises are located in the Rows, which were the town’s shopping centre from Medieval times onwards.
We hope to arrive in Saffron Walden at approx 10.30am where where we enjoy free time, we then travel to Audley End House and Gardens for our afternoon visit. We leave at approx 4.00pm and hope to arrive back in the Milton Keynes/Newport Pagnell area approx 6.00pm.
