YORKSHIRE CONTRASTS, LOTS OF SINGLES
Enjoy a festive tour to Yorkshire where we take in all the sights and smells to get us in the Christmas spirit. We include visits to York, Grassington and Skipton as well as free time in Harrogate. Our hotel is the centrally located Old Swan in Harrogate with many single rooms.
MONDAY DAY 1
After our morning door to door service we head north, arriving at The Old Swan Hotel in the afternoon.
DTUESDAY DAY 2
Leaving the hotel we head to Skipton. Known as the Gateway to the Dales the town is a focal point for the surrounding small towns and villages, with the market held on 4 days each week. The Main Street is dominated by Skipton Castle. There are many little alleyways leading off the Main Street to explore. Take a leisurely walk to the interesting canal basin. Next we travel to the Dales and Grassington for a short break and chance to explore the diminutive market square and cobbled little alleyways. We have free time before returning to our hotel.
WEDNESDAY DAY 3
This morning we leave for a day in the ancient and historic City of York. The city will be decorated for Christmas, with the markets in full flow. There are lots of things to see and do - The National Railway Museum, The Jorvik Centre, The Castle Museum, stroll around the City Walls, wander around the excellent shops, explore the many quaint little alleyways, and, of course, no visit to York is complete without seeing the magnificent York Minster.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
Today is free for you to explore the pretty town of Harrogate. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the festively decorated Victoria arcades for some retail therapy. Have a relaxing lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars - maybe even visit the famous 'Betty's Tearooms' Later return to the hotel to enjoy a cream tea.
FRIDAY DAY 5
After breakfast we begin our journey home, meeting our door to door service late afternoon.

The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate The Old Swan Hotel stands in the centre of the lovely town of Harrogate, in Yorkshire, and is famed as being Agatha Christie's hiding place during her disappearance in 1926. All bedrooms are stylishly furnished, en suite and have satellite television, telephone, hairdryer, and tea & coffee facilities. The hotel has a lift.
