Book NowThe Lake District is always a beautiful place to visit, with stunning mountain ranges and shimmering lakes, there is so much to see. We include an excursion taken in mini buses which reach the parts where others cannot go, visit Bowness, Grasmere and Ambleside. We stay at one of the most popular hotels in the Lakes, The Skiddaw, Keswick.
MONDAY DAY 1
After our door to door service we join the tour coach and make our way north. After a break for lunch we arrive at our hotel, based in the heart of Keswick, in the late afternoon.
DTUESDAY DAY 2
Today the Mountain Goat will pick us up from the hotel and take us on a half day adventure. Mountain Goat minibuses take us where larger coaches cannot go. We start with a scenic journey along the shore of Derwentwater to Ashness Bridge and Borrowdale, continuing over Honister Pass to Buttermere village. After a break we pass Crummock Water and Loweswater on our way to the Whinlatter Pass Visitor Centre.
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 3
This morning we will travel south first making a stop in Grasmere, famous for its gingerbread. We then continue to Bowness-onWindermere, with shops and home to the Beatrix Potter Museum. This afternoon we travel to Kendal, home of the 'mint cake'. As well as shopping arcades, Kendal can boast two castles, museums, a host of historical buildings and stunning views.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 4
Today we travel along Ullswater, regarded by many as the most beautiful of all the lakes. We reach the small village of Glenridding and stop for a break, before continuing over rugged Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside. There is a chance to browse the shops in the town before continuing back to the hotel along Lake Thirlmere
B, DFRIDAY DAY 5
Today we head for home to meet our door to door service during the afternoon.
