Barnstaple, Devon
We recently used the Royal & Fortesque hotel in Barnstaple for a Mystery weekend. It left us wanting to return to this excellent hotel. Join us as we visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens and enjoy tours of Dartington Crystal and Quince Honey farm. We also visit the towns of Bideford and Barnstaple during the holiday.
SUNDAY DAY 1
After our door to door pick ups in your home area in we travel to Devon to arrive late afternoon. We will make a stop to purchase lunch during the journey.
DMONDAY DAY 2
After a hearty breakfast we head to Quince Honey Farm to uncover the secret life of bees and the honey making process. Watch a beekeeping demo, enjoy a tour and tasting in the honey factory or explore the Nectar Garden and Seed Bar In the afternoon we enjoy free time in Barnstaple.
B, DTUESDAY DAY 3
Today we travel to RHS Rosemoor - an award-winning gem nestled in the Torridge Valley. This delightful garden blends formal and informal plantings to magical effect. Explore the rose gardens, the long borders and the exotic gardens. There are delights to be found in every season at this stunning garden. .
B, DWEDNESDAY DAY 4
We join the coach for our morning trip to Bideford which was once Britain's third largest port and while it still has maritime connections, these days, it is more widely known as being a thriving shopping centre, with a historic Pannier Market as well as being the home to the Atlantic Village outlet. We end the day with a visit to Dartington Crystal Outlet where we enjoy a behind-the-scenes factory tour with skilled craftsmen demonstrating how they handcraft glass into luxury homeware items.
B, DTHURSDAY DAY 5
After a leisurely breakfast we head for home. We will make a stop to purchase lunch, and meet our door to door service during the afternoon.

The Royal & Fortescue hotel is situated in Barnstaple town centre. Formerly a coaching inn this historic and traditional market town hotel earned its present title after patronage by King Edward VII.
