PERTHSHIRE PALACES & STONE OF DESTINY
This Scottish tour visits the recently opened Perth Museum housing the Stone of Destiny. The Stone has been used to crown Kings and Queens since the 9th Century. We also explore historical royal homes Glamis Castle, Scone Palace and include a mini afternoon tea at Peel Farm. We stay at the Salutation Hotel, Perth and overnight on day one in Lancashire.
THURSDAY DAY 1
After our morning door to door service we travel north to Lancashire and our overnight hotel.
DFRIDAY DAY 2
After breakfast we continue our journey north through Scotland to Perth, arriving during the afternoon at our hotel.
B, DSATURDAY DAY 3
This morning we travel to Pitlochry. We have the morning free to enjoy the beautiful scenery, shops and museums. After time to purchase lunch we visit the famous Blair Athol Distillery for a guided tour and tasting and a chance to learn how their famous single malt is made.
B, DSUNDAY DAY 4
Today we travel the short distance to Scone Palace. The Palace has an exciting and colourful history as one of Scotland's most important stately homes. Later we return to Perth to visit the Perth Museum. The highlight of the collection is the recently returned "Stone of Destiny".
B, DMONDAY DAY 5
This morning we travel to Glamis Castle, one of the finest castles in Scotland and former home of Princess Margaret. We then visit Peel Farm Café, a family run business using locally sourced produce. We enjoy a mini afternoon tea that includes tea/coffee, small sandwiches, savoury pastries and fresh scones.
B, DTUESDAY DAY 6
After breakfast we depart our hotel and begin the journey home with fond memories of our time in Scotland. meeting our door to door service during the afternoon.

The Salutation Hotel is located in the centre of the Scottish city of Perth. Hotel facilities include bar lounge area, restaurant and function rooms. All bedrooms are ensuite and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
